Swarovski is focusing on the global expansion of the "Created Diamonds" collection. This step is the logical development following the successful launch of the collection with lab-grown diamonds in the USA and Canada. Lab diamonds have been a part of Swarovski's B2B portfolio since 2016. The fact that Swarovski is expanding its Fine Jewelry collection with lab diamonds is a groundbreaking signal for the entire jewelry industry.
Following a successful launch in the US and Canada, the collection will now be introduced in flagship stores in key markets including China, Italy, Korea, Japan, the UK, Australia, France, Germany, Austria and the United Arab Emirates.
The opening of the new flagship store in New York coincided with the launch of the "Galaxy" collection. The jewelry collection, designed by Giovanna Engelbert, Global Creative Director, consists exclusively of lab-grown diamonds certified by the International Gemological Institute (IGI). "This certification guarantees the quality of every stone in the upcoming Swarovski "Created Diamonds" collection and strengthens consumer confidence during our global launch," emphasizes Alexis Nasard, Chief Executive Officer of Swarovski.
Swarovski has a partnership with the International Gemological Institute (IGI), the world's leading diamond grading institute. IGI grades Swarovski's Created Diamond collection of lab-grown diamonds according to the strict 4Cs of diamond quality criteria of cut, color, clarity and carat weight, just as mined diamonds are certified.
The importance of lab diamonds in the diamond industry of the future cannot be emphasized enough. The developments within the jewelry industry and especially among well-known jewelry manufacturers in the high-end segment clearly show that the demand for lab diamonds is constantly growing. "Lab diamonds will undoubtedly play a crucial role in the future of the diamond industry and represent a strategic growth category for Swarovski," explains Alexis Nasard, Chief Executive Officer of Swarovski.
